TaKaRa Bio 公司為亞洲區最大的生物科技企業，其研發和生產的生技產品在日本市場佔有率達 60% 以上，並暢銷國際市場；包括有限制酶、修飾酶、反轉錄酶、PCR 試劑及 qPCR 試劑等等。除了常見的分生試劑外，也提供生物試劑 (EIA Kit) ，其中偵測蝕骨作用與造骨作用的 ELISA Kit 是此領域的明星產品。2005 年，收購美國 Clontech 公司，拓展基因表現/蛋白質研究領域產品，同時致力研發合併後商品。近年來積極發展並推出Next-generation Sequencing (SMART, SMARTer, and SMART-Seq kits)、PCR (Titanium Taq and Advantage 2 polymerases)、Cloning & Mutagenesis (In-Fusion Cloning systems), Protein purification (Capturem technology) 和 Genome Editing (Guide-it kits) 等相關創新產品。

近幾年為了使產品涵蓋範圍更加全面，於2014 年收購瑞典的 Cellartis，一家以 iPS 相關產品聞名國際的生技公司；2017 年收購 Rubicon Genomics，一家在 DNA-Sequencing 領域極著名的公司，應用範圍包括 biomedical research 和 clinical diagnostic applications。其中專為 cfDNA-seq 設計的 ThruPlex Plasma-seq Kit，與針對 single cell DNA-seq 設計的 PicoPLEX WGA Kit，為市場上熱門產品。另外，也在 2017 年同時收購 WaferGen Bio-systems，納入 high-throughput sample prep 和 single-cell analysis 的自動化平台。
